Itinerary

Day 1:

A tour company representative will collect you in Portland on the 1st morning for the one hour transfer to Boothbay Harbor. We begin our trip cycling stunning Ocean Point before pedaling to the charming village of Damariscotta. We end our day at the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, where we enjoy a welcome wine and cheese reception before dinner at the elegant Bradly Inn. Cycling Options: 48 or 53 miles.

Day 2:

Today we visit historic Pemaquid Harbor where the English and the French fought for control of New England during the French and Indian Wars. Later we cycle to the “off the beaten track” town of Waldoboro for a glimpse of small town life in Maine before pedaling to Clark Island and our inn overlooking the ocean. Cycling: 63 miles.

Day 3:

We begin our ride exploring the quiet peninsula of Spruce Point before cycling to Birch Point State Park and the spectacular Owls Head Light as it stands guard over Penobscot Bay. Our ride then takes us to the eclectic village of Rockland. We finish our day in the picturesque town of Camden where we enjoy a sunset sail on Penobscot Bay. Cycling Options: 30 or 54 miles.

Day 4:

The rolling hills of Camden offer miles of riding on quiet country roads. We follow these roads though the summer community of Bayside and into the coastal town of Belfast and enjoy a picnic lunch before a short transfer. Our ride continues along the western shore of Penobscot Bay and into the town of Castine where a lobster feast awaits. Cycling Options: 53 or 63 miles.

Day 5:

Our adventure continues as we explore the town of Castine, a historical gem that has flown the flag of four nations during its rich history. Our morning ride through town is a journey through pre-colonial American history. After exploring Castine, our ride continues along miles of quiet coastal roads. We cycle along Eggemoggin Reach and into the town of Blue Hill before a transfer to Bar Harbor. An optional non supported route will be offered for those who wish to cycle to Bar Harbor. Cycling Options: 40, 61, 77, or 100 miles.

Day 6:

Today we cycle a marvelous route to the quiet side of Acadia National Park, winding through charming villages to the town of Bass Harbor and the famous Bass Harbor Light. Cycling: 62 miles.

Day 7:

We end a memorable week cycling Acadia National Park’s famous Park Loop Road as it winds along the shore before we celebrate our week with an optional climb of Cadillac Mountain. Cycling Options: 26 or 33 miles.
