Itinerary

Day 1:

Alaska Railroad / Fox Island / Resurrection Bay
Early morning pick-up in Anchorage followed by a 4-hour scenic train ride on the famous Alaska Railroad, heading south to Seward. Board a ferry in Seward for a short cruise to Fox Island. Explore the shoreline and protected coves of Resurrection Bay by kayak. Relax after dinner by a bonfire on the Islands pebble beach.
Overnight: Fox Island Wilderness Lodge, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 2:

Kenai Fjords Wilderness Cruise / Seward
Explore the inter-tidal life zone on Fox Island. Board a small ship for a Kenai Fjords Glacier & Wildlife Cruise; lunch is served onboard an naturalist guides share their expertise on the region. Back in Seward, shuttle to the Windsong Lodge, your home for the next two nights. Head out on your bike to Exit Glacier Overlook.
Overnight: Windsong Lodge, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3:

Exit Glacier / Harding Icefield
Morning bike ride into Kenai Fjords National Park. Take an easy hike along the Exit Glacier Overlook Trail or opt for a more challenging hike to view the 300-squaremile Harding Ice Field, the largest in North America.
Overnight: Windsong Lodge, Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 4:

Johnson Pass Trail / Hope / Girdwood
Morning hike to Russian River Falls and Lake. Stop to view Sockeye salmon returning to spawn (July-August). Mount up and pedal along Granite Creek, past wildflowers, waterfalls and alpine valleys to the old Gold Rush town of Hope. Depart for a hike through a dense rain forest. Lunch in a cozy cabin at the historic Crow Creek Gold Mine. Hike Byron Glacier. Bike trip to Moose Flats.
Overnight: Alyeska Prince hotel, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

Day 5:

Winner Creek Trail / Trail of Blue Ice
On Day 5, depart from the resort for a hike through America's northernmost temperate rainforest filled with Sitka spruce, prickly Devil's Club and feathery ferns with a surprise along the way. Afterward, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you can view most of Alaska's wildlife up close and personal. Complete the day by hopping on your bike for a twisty cruise along the Trail of Blue Ice. Our final dinner is at Jack Sprat, known for its fresh and creative cuisine.

Day 6:

Girdwood to Indian Creek / Anchorage
Depart for a bike ride to Indian Creek. Back to Anchorage.
