The Redrock Canyons bike tour is a supported lodge to lodge road cycling tour that follows a Seldom Seen route through the Redrock Canyon Country of western Colorado and eastern Utah. This iconic region boasts striking geologic features, numerous prehistoric cultural sites and encompasses some of the “greatest unexplored wilderness in the country”
 Highlights include: the 1980’s Coor’s Bicycle Classic “Tour of the Moon” stage through the Colorado National Monument, the stunning geology of Unaweep Canyon, world famous Monument Valley, terrain from Edward Abbey’s classic novel The Monkey Wrench Gang and the sandstone cliff encircled beauty of Lake Powell. These attractions are viewed while riding beneath the stunning peaks of the San Juan, Abajo, La Sal, and Henry mountains. The tour route meanders alongside and intersects many of desert southwest’s major rivers canyons including the Rio Gunnison, Rio Colorado, Rio Dolores, and Rio San Juan.

Southern Arizona: Azure skies, endless vistas hemmed with 10,000-foot peaks. Names out of a medieval fantasy: the Chiricahuas, the Dragoons, Catalinas, Rincons. This is the land of Geronimo, Cochise and 250-year-old saguaro cactus, where the sweet scent of desert creosote flower fills the air. The Black Canyon trail follows a route used since the times of pre-historic Native American travelers and traders. Riders are constantly rewarded with breathtaking scenic vistas and glimpses of the varied historical activities that have echoed through these hills. The Department of the Interior officially established the route as a livestock driveway in 1919, when it was used by woolgrowers from the Phoenix area to herd sheep to and from their summer ranges in the Bradshaw and Mingus Mountains.
Many segments of the trail roughly parallel the old Black Canyon stagecoach road between Phoenix and Prescott. At present, 13.3 miles of this trail between the Emery Henderson Trailhead and Table Mesa Road, provide a pleasant route to follow.

For cyclist who cannot cycle the whole tour but still want to ride a part of the North American Epic Ride, can ride the 6th section of our Epic Ride. The Canyonlands section will first amaze you with its stunning vistas, and then daze you with desert heat. Its harsh environment and welcome watering holes will give us a glimpse of how tough life was in the Old West as we spin on our 21st century 2 wheeled steeds across lands that covered wagons once struggled mightily to cross.

New for 2023: Due to an increased demand from our guests looking to travel to this popular destination on an E-bike, we will be offering full E-bike tours in Sedona and Prescott with an option to choose a road and hybrid bike only if you prefer.
